As a coach I bring certain energy to all sessions helping clients to be comfortable and trusting of the engagement process. Although this is a core competency of coaching, I am told this is a natural way of being for me according to my clients.
My commitment to helping others reach their individual coaching goals is the cornerstone of what I do. In the end it is about creating a meaningful shift and being accountable along the way in order to get where one wants to go personally and professionally.
I believe strongly that when clients are motivated, they can move personal mountains and create the change they are looking for rapidly and early on in coaching. I’ve seen it over and over again.
My work is always focused on the client’s agenda. Although we co-create the alliance with specific goals, each session is an opportunity to decide what is most important right now. (Because we are always different depending on what is going on in life or in our work.)
In each meeting the client chooses the focus of the conversation, while I listen and contribute observations and questions. This interaction creates clarity and moves the client into action.
Through a certain weaving together of clients’ values and strengths, I manage the process only. In coaching we don’t want to create a co-dependent relationship, the goal is for clients to leave each session with increased self-awareness and a positive plan of action to move forward.
It’s all about helping people to shift and create positive change.
